Although we’re still awaiting their release, we already know what the most expensive LEGO Animal Crossing set is.
While the advent of the New Year will bring the release of LEGO Minifigures Series 25, there’s also a brand new theme gearing up for a blocky launch in March. Fans of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing are probably licking their lips at the prospect of these sets, though they’d be right in wondering what the most expensive one is going to be.
This is the most expensive LEGO Animal Crossing set
The most expensive LEGO Animal Crossing set is the 77050 Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House set, which is only going to cost £64.99. Some other LEGO sets released this year have cost nearly three, four times as much as this, slightly odd to see such a gentle entry to this new theme. You can still buy it directly from March 1st onwards via LEGO and in-store.
I’ve been playing Animal Crossing for a long time. Enough so that Mr. Resetti’s voice lingers in the back of my mind whenever I forget to save a document or blog post. The fact that there’s a LEGO set with the iconic Nook’s Cranny included is really exciting, though the fact that it’s so small is quite a buzzkill.
I’d have hoped that the launch of a brand new theme would have started with a bang, though the likelihood is that the company is saving its gambit for later on in the release cycle. We might expect a bigger, even more expensive Animal Crossing set to hit stores later on in September, we’d estimate.
76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit, for example, launches on the same day, though features 896 pieces for the same price. Compared to the Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House set, which only features 535 pieces, you can only feel a little hard done by this.

It’s not world-ending, though. It’s still a fairly affordable set, which ultimately makes sense considering its simplicity. The other sets coming to the theme are even more affordable, and they’re all pretty spectacular.
