The LEGO minifigures Series 25 release date has been confirmed for 2024, with prices revealed too.
As we near the end of this year, LEGO has revealed plenty of new sets releasing in 2024. One of the most exciting products coming is the new LEGO Minifigures series. The trend began in 2010 when the first minifigures polybag was launched. It was a ‘blind’ pick, so to speak, which would feature one of 16 minis. In 2021, this number was dropped down to 12 figures. We’re well on our way to our 25th set – so let’s see what we’ve got ahead of us.
The LEGO Minifigure Series 25 release date is 1st January 2024
We already know when we’re going to see the release date for the LEGO Minifigure Series 25 – on New Year’s Day. This is actually going to be the date that we see a lot of new LEGO themes launch, while the possibility of seeing LEGO Fortnite sets looms. A few other kits releasing closer to this time are the 76285 Spider-Man’s Mask and LEGO City 2024 sets.
The launch of the LEGO Minifigure Series 25 means that collectors are going to be able to have a go at picking up each of the new characters. It’s going to take buying quite a few different boxes to find them all, though it’s not too much of a hit to the wallet considering that each pack is only £3.49 / $4.99.
The launch of the LEGO Minifigure Series 25 will be in boxes, a shift away from the once iconic polybags. This is pretty much a sign that LEGO is looking to make their business model more environmentally friendly, which is a great move from the company. While it might have angered some fans, it’s not too different from how the polybags were distributed. Something to consider is that there’s a whole lot of new fans interested in LEGO now. People have been reporting that there’s virtually no chance of getting a single pack before they’re sold out, and that their only hope is relying on resellers.
One place to look for LEGO Minifigures is BrickLink, though you’re going to be dealing directly with independent sellers, so it’s much less simple than buying directly from LEGO.
Series 25 is going to release some brilliant new minifigures
There are some absolutely incredible looking minifigures coming in the next series. This includes the following:
- Triceratops Costume Fan
- Sprinter
- Film Noir Detective
- Train Kid
- Goatherd
- Vampire Knight
- Pet Groomer
- Fitness Instructor
- E-Sports Gamer
- Mushroom Sprite
- Fierce Barbarian
- Harpy
Each figure also comes equipped with a unique accessory. This also includes a goat. It’s quite refreshing to see LEGO release animals as part of the minifigures as these are really important and versatile when creating dioramas and the like. Each box also contains 9 pieces and will reward you with 28 LEGO Insiders Points.
I’m most excited to get my hands on the Goatherd, Mushroom Sprite and the Film Noir Detective as they all have a charm about them.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to pre-order the Series 25 minifigures from LEGO or any other retailer, so you’re going to have to get very lucky on New Year’s Day to grab any of these.
