The first kid, and one of the most affordable entry-points to LEGO Technic, is the Heavy-Duty Bulldozer that’s set for a release on January 1st. It looks to be quite a small set, though it’s going to act as a great starting point for any kids just getting started with more advanced LEGO mechanics.

The Harvester’s front piece is commandeered by turning gears, all of which are going to spur curiosity and engineering understanding in younger audiences. That said, it’s still a pretty nifty little set that’s going to excite older fans too.

42171 Mercedes Formula 1 Car
There’s nothing confirmed about this set just yet, aside from a few tid-bits on information from BrickFanatics.
It’s not known whether this is even going to be an official LEGO Technic set, with LEGO Icons and Speed Champions also just as likely to scoop this one up.

The 42178 Surface Space Loader LT78 is this year’s first Technic space-themed set, though definitely not the last. It’s not that complex, though the general aesthetic is somewhere between industrial sci-fi and monster-truck frenzy. I like it.
It’s somewhat reminiscent of Mateo’s Off-Road Car that features in our picks for the best LEGO DREAMZzz sets.
42179 Planet Earth & Moon in Orbit

The most expensive LEGO Technic set releasing in 2024 (as far as we know) happens to be the Mars Crew Exploration Rover. The direction that LEGO Technic is moving in is incredibly exciting, with space exploration and multi-terrain vehicles taking center stage over race cars and domestic vehicles. Perhaps the popularity of LEGO Star Wars is beginning to kick in.
There’s plenty to be excited about with the Mars Crew Exploration Rover, including the plethora of living quarters contained within, or the moving crane, elevator, companion rover and suspension all packaged neatly.
42181 VTOL Heavy Cargo Spaceship LT81

March is an incredibly exciting time for LEGO fans, with many of the best sets of the year releasing. The VTOL Heavy Cargo Spaceship LT81 is definitely one of them, with a beautiful design that wouldn’t seem amiss in Starfield.
There’s a few accompanying micro-sets too, and it looks as though this LEGO Technic sets is going to be entirely worth the money.

There’s not really much known about this set, though the model number indicates it’s going to be contained in LEGO Technic.
